What Fork Do I Use?
Have you ever attended a formal event and been confused by an array of glasses and cutlery before you? Here are some helpful suggestions.
If bread and rolls are contained in a basket for an entire table, it is appropriate to start by offering one to the person to your right, then taking one yourself, and then passing the basket to your left.
Did you know that it is more polite to break bread rolls between the fingers rather than cutting with a knife?
Hold your knife and fork with the handles in the palm of your hand, index finger on top, thumb underneath.
When you are finished your meal, place your knife and fork side by side in the centre of your plate.
