Special Occasions for Organizations
To request a message for your organization’s anniversary or other special event, please use the Special Occasions Greeting Form. Requests for organizations are received only by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan and are not shared with other officials.
We cannot guarantee messages will be provided by the due date with fewer than two months’ notice.

Birthday & Wedding Anniversaries
Upon request, the Lieutenant Governor sends greetings to current and former Saskatchewan residents celebrating milestone birthdays and wedding anniversaries. We accept requests for 50th birthdays and over, and 25th wedding anniversaries and over. The Lieutenant Governor’s Office also forwards requests for birthday and wedding anniversaries to other officials, so if you request the message through the Lieutenant Governor's Office, you do not need to contact other offices.
The following is a list of officials who receive the requests and the types of occasions they acknowledge:
His Majesty The King acknowledges wedding anniversaries starting at 60 and then every 5 years. The King acknowledges birthdays starting at 100 years of age and then every year after.
The Lieutenant Governor acknowledges wedding anniversaries for the 25th anniversary and the 50th anniversary and then every five years. The Lieutenant Governor acknowledges birthdays starting at age 80 and then every five years.
The Governor General acknowledges wedding anniversaries starting at the 50th and then every five years. The Governor General acknowledges birthdays starting at age 90 and then every five years.
The Prime Minister acknowledges wedding anniversaries starting at 25 years and then every five years. The Prime Minister acknowledges birthdays starting at 65 years of age and then every five years, and every birthday from 100 years of age and over.
The Premier acknowledges wedding anniversaries starting at 25 years and then every 5 years, and every anniversary starting at the 50th onwards. The Premier acknowledges birthdays starting at age 50 and then every five years, and every birthday starting at 100.
The Leader of the Opposition acknowledges wedding anniversaries starting at the 25th and then every five years, and every wedding anniversary after the 50th. The Leader of the Opposition acknowledges birthdays starting from age 50 and then every five years, and every birthday from 100 onwards.
Saskatchewan Members of Parliament receive the greeting requests and set their own guidelines. Please contact your MP if you would like to know if they will provide a greeting for a particular occasion.
Some Saskatchewan Senators have chosen to participate in this program and set their own guidelines regarding the occasions they acknowledge. Please contact the Senator if you would like to know if they will provide a greeting for a particular occasion.
The Estevan, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon and Swift Current Mayors acknowledge some wedding anniversaries and birthdays for their residents.
We cannot guarantee that messages will be provided by the celebration date with less than two months notice.
