Saskatchewan’s 24th Lieutenant Governor Installed

Her Honour the Honourable Bernadette McIntyre was installed as the 24th Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan in the Chamber of the Legislative Building on January 31st, 2025. The Chamber was filled with Her Honour's family and friends, former and future colleagues, fellow volunteers, members of the Legislative Assembly and numerous distinguished guests.

The programme included a presentation of a Métis sash from President Glen McCallum, a welcome by Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Toddy Goudy, an address by Premier Scott Moe, and greetings from Leader of the Opposition Carla Beck and Minister Responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada Terry Duguid.

The new Lieutenant Governor responded with gratitude to all those in attendance and around the province for their ongoing support. She also emphasized her enthusiasm to begin her new role serving the people of the province.

Ms. McIntyre ended her remarks with the following:

"Please believe that I will give my very best to serve you, our province and the Crown.

Growth and success come from the combined strength of many people. You are those people.

In closing, it is my great pleasure to bring you greetings on behalf of His Majesty King Charles the Third, King of Canada."
